Attachments He understood rivets two by two on a boat in the dockyard for fifty one years year by year He understood rivets we sat legs dangling as we talked /over the wharf about the time He forgot my name of adventures we never had undertaken Dawn haunts the berth Whahini and Moari when Lyttleton dreams through another day day after day the port having changed losing a few relics here and there one by one like rivets sailed or rusted away.
